However these adverse conditions also prove our credibility. Most of the people do not have courage and stamina to stand firm in front of life’s demons. THE AFGHAN MONA LISA

"Her eyes have been haunting for ages". These are the words of the famous journalist Steve McCurry of National Geographic. This is about the adolescent girl with the intense green eyes and red headscarf namely Sharbat Gula (born on 20 March 1972), who appeared in the cover picture of National Geographic in June 1985.  She was an immigrant when Russia invaded Afghan. She was in Nasir Bagh refugee camp in Pakistan when she was captured. In 1984 McCurry was visiting the refugee camps in Pakistan. That time he has got a glimpse of her eyes. He tried to take pictures of her. First she refused and cooperated later. It became the cover image of the National Geographic magazine with a headline 'The haunted eyes tells the fear of an Afghan refugee'. It became popular.This is one of the most iconic cover picture of National Geographic. McCurry's life too changed after the incident. A Journey to Farook College to attend Add on Course

 THE FIRST TRIP OF AMIZTARDS At 6.30am we gathered in front of our college on a Tuesday. We waited for a long time for the arrival two kiddos. We made the trip a colourful one with songs and enjoyment. We reached Farook at 8.13 am and finished our breakfast. The session started at 9'clock and three different faculty members of the English department taught us in three different periods. At the end of the classes we took photos with the entire English department faculties of Farook college. And took a walk around the campus with the help of PG students of the college. We got a chance to get drained in the rain of Kozhikode, it was great fun. We resumed our journey and looked forward to a good lunch. After having the lunch we headed to the Hilite mall. Through out the trip the bond strengthened between us. We have utilised the trip to enjoy maximum. Till the end of the day, we traveled with the same energy. Damon Galgut, the Man Booker Prize Winner of 2021

Damon Galgut, the South African playwright and novelist was born on 12 November, 1963. He is awarded the 2021 Booker prize for his novel The Promise, making Galgut the third South African to win the prize. The novel charts the crash and burns of a white South African family, living on a farm outside Pretoria. The younger generation detest everything the family stands for, not least the failed promise to the black women who has worked for them her whole life. The Promise hit home by pointing out the sharp, tender and emotional truths of the family. Damon Galgut expressed his humble gratitude for the Man Booker prize.
