Prioritizing Daily Mental Wellness

Prioritizing Daily Mental Wellness  When I came to college, I was very happy. Everything felt new—friends, classes, and campus life. But slowly, I started to feel the pressure. There were too many assignments, exams, and late-night studies. Sometimes problems with friends or family added to it. I kept telling myself, “It’s fine, I can manage.” But inside, I was getting tired. One day it felt too heavy, and I didn’t know what to do. That day I understood that mental health is not something we should care for only in crisis. It needs daily care. Before this, I thought mental health meant only depression or something very serious. But now I know it is just like physical health. We don’t wait to brush our teeth only when they are damaged. We do it every day. In the same way, the mind also needs small care every day. Now I try to do little things for myself. Sometimes I just sit quietly and breathe. Sometimes I write my feelings in a notebook, and it makes me feel lighter. Walking aroun...

Whispers of Serenity

Image
Whispers of Serenity  In the rush of modern life, we often forget the quiet power of nature. A peaceful view of trees swaying in the wind, a river flowing gently, or the golden sky at sunset has the ability to calm our restless minds. Nature does not demand anything from us—it simply exists, offering beauty and balance. When we pause and look at a mountain range, a forest path, or even a small garden, we connect with something larger than ourselves. The sound of birds in the morning, the rhythm of waves on the shore, or the silence of a starlit night can bring clarity and healing. These moments remind us that peace is not something we have to chase; it is already around us, waiting to be noticed. Spending time in nature reduces stress, improves our mood, and inspires creativity. It teaches patience through the slow growth of plants, resilience through the change of seasons, and hope through the constant renewal of life. In a world full of noise and distraction, the peaceful v...

Health and Wellness

Health and Wellness Regular exercise is one of the most effective ways to maintain good health, both physically and mentally. Moving your body helps strengthen the heart, build muscle, and improve flexibility, making everyday tasks easier and reducing the risk of injuries. Even moderate activities like walking, cycling, or light jogging can have lasting benefits when done consistently. Beyond physical fitness, exercise plays a major role in mental wellbeing. Physical activity triggers the release of endorphins, often called “feel-good hormones,” which can reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. It also boosts energy levels and improves sleep quality, helping you feel more refreshed and focused throughout the day. The best part is that exercise doesn’t have to mean hours in the gym. Simple choices — like taking the stairs, stretching during breaks, or going for a brisk walk — add up over time. By making movement a regular part of your routine, you’ll be investing in a h...

Boxing and the Joy It Brings

Boxing and the Joy It Brings Boxing is often seen as a sport of power, endurance, and competition. While these qualities are true, it is also a discipline that offers much more—especially happiness. For many students like me, boxing is not only about physical strength but also about mental well-being and personal growth. Stepping into the ring or training with the punching bag creates a sense of freedom. The steady rhythm of punches, the coordination of footwork, and the controlled intensity of each movement help release stress and clear the mind. Boxing teaches valuable lessons of discipline, focus, and perseverance, which extend far beyond the sport itself. What makes boxing truly special is the joy it brings after every session. The feeling of accomplishment, no matter how exhausting the training may be, always leaves behind a sense of satisfaction and happiness. It builds confidence, resilience, and the belief that challenges can be overcome with effort and dedication. Thus, b...

With You, Everything's Right You came, you smiled, you lit up my way. With you, my heart beats brighter each day. In your eyes, my love finds a home. With you, I am never alone. Your touch ignites a gentle flame. With you, my heart feels no pain. Together we'll dance through life's delight. With you, everything feels just right. Echoes of Absence

Echoes of Absence After you leave, The flowers in the backyard have lost their color since you left. On the roads where you laugh, Now my heart only hears the cries. I hear only the sound of emptiness. After you left, The moon for nights, The sun for the days become nothing. The wind remembers your sound, But there is only emptiness. The poems within me, Are just words, Like sounds without music. Sagara S First Semester BA English Language and Literature

Shades of Longing

Shades of Longing After you leave, the sky will be a dead weight, The road a path of sorrow, wine just a bitter taste. Everything will be like my heart, A dull grey color; the emptiness of your absence, The poison of memories, the dullness when we're apart, The fleeting joy when we meet in dreams, And the blackness when darkness covers the earth. The sky will be a shirt heavy with tears, The road a vein about to break, And the glass of wine a mirror reflecting all that's lost. So the sky may not lose its light, The road remain a path, And the glass of wine not a reminder, Just a glass of wine. Thank You  Shamiya Sherin I B.A English Language and Literature

Return, My Amore

Return, My Amore  When you left, my life fell into emptiness  My colourful world turned into dark shadow  The day you walked away, my heart shattered  A thousand pieces only you can mend. The white dove once admired by all now wanders, a little homeless and lost. The colours you painted in my life lie discarded, forgotten in the dust. Yet, my heart still holds your memory, I wait for you in the sky and the moon. Come back, my love, and I will welcome you  with all the love I carry within me. Amore, You are the colours  in my black-and-white world. Reem Mohammed Sali 1st sem BA English

Body Shaming

Body Shaming Body shaming means saying unkind things about how someone’s body looks. It can be calling someone too fat, too thin, too dark, too short, or even making jokes about their face or skin. These hurtful words may sound small, but they can cause big pain in a person’s heart. Body shaming can happen anywhere — in school, at work, at home, or on social media. When people are body shamed, they often feel sad, worried, and lose confidence. They may start to hate their own body and compare themselves to others. Some people even try unhealthy diets or other harmful things to change how they look, just to escape the bullying. This shows how dangerous body shaming can be for both the mind and the body. We must learn to respect every person and every body. No one is perfect, and no body should be made fun of. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way. Instead of shaming, we should use kind words, support one another, and spread positivity. A small word of kindness can give ...

The Beauty of Eyes – More Than Just Vision

Image
The Beauty of Eyes – More Than Just Vision EyesπŸ«ΆπŸ»πŸ‘ we often call them the “windows to the soul.” But have we ever truly paused to admire how beautiful they are? As a student who spends hours buried in books and screens, I’ve come to realize that eyes do so much more than just help us see. They express, they connect, and they speak — sometimes louder than words ever can. ✨ A World Within Each pair of eyes is like a universe of its own. Some are deep brown like rich soil, warm and grounding. Others are blue like the sky, calm and endless. Green eyes shimmer like emeralds, rare and mysterious. Even the shape and expression of someone’s eyes can tell you a lot — happiness, sadness, excitement, or worry. Isn't it amazing how much emotion a single glance can carry? When we talk to someone, we naturally look into their eyes. That’s because we know that eyes are honest. They don’t lie. A fake smile might fool someone, but nervous, teary, or sparkling eyes tell the truth. πŸ’¬ Eyes Speak S...

The Beauty of Rain

The Beauty of Rain Rain is one of the most beautiful gifts of nature. When the first drops touch the earth, the smell of wet soil makes our heart feel fresh. The sound of raindrops falling on the roof, trees, and ground is like sweet music. It brings peace to the mind and joy to the soul. Rain changes the whole world around us. The trees look greener, the flowers shine brighter and the air feels cooler. Everything becomes clean and afresh. Watching the rain from a window with a cup of tea is one of the simplest joys of life. Rain also carries many emotions. For some people, it is romantic; for others, it brings back childhood memories of playing in puddles and making paper boats. It can also make us feel calm and thoughtful.      At the same time, rain is very important aspect if life. It gives water to the earth which helps plants to grow and fills rivers and lakes. Without rain, life on earth would  be impossible.        The beauty of rain...

The Sports Ethos

The Sports Ethos Sports are more than just games—they are a way of life that brings people together, builds character, and shapes communities. From local playgrounds to international stadiums, sports culture creates a shared language that everyone can understand. The life of sports culture is filled with passion, teamwork, and discipline. It teaches us that winning is not everything, but striving to do our best is what truly matters. Every match, every training session, and every cheer from the audience reflects the spirit of human connection. Sports also break barriers of race, religion, and nationality. A cricket match in India, a football game in Brazil, or an Olympic event watched worldwide shows how deeply sports unite us across differences. For athletes, sports become a journey of self-discovery—learning resilience after failure and humility after success. At the heart of sports culture lies respect: respect for the game, for teammates, and even for opponents. It is this res...

Life's Little Lessons

Life's Little Lessons : Sometimes we think that to make a big life change it will take big effort's to it. For example achieving a job that we dreamed of. But, the reality is it's starts with little steps. Like studying our chapters daily or writing. We may feel its nothing compared to the whole book itself. But thats how we complete the book by studying everyday.         Efforts are like seeds. A single seed may look tiny, but eventually it grows into something much bigger.Just like that our simple steps also matters.Even though it may feel less important at first.       Imagine someone who decides to read just 5 pages of a book every night. Af first it feels less. But a year later, they've finished over lot of books, learned new ideas, and discovered passions they have never had before.   Or another one, who decided to remove soft drinks from their life and in stead they started to drink water. Imagine the amount healthiness that comes to ...
